Muscat international airport expansion, main contract 2 is one of the main scope of works for the expansion and modernisation of the airport which once completed will have cost nearly two billion dollars.

Muscat International Airport Expansion, ATC Tower – Main Contract 2, is part of the overall development and expansion of the Muscat International Airport (MIA). The development of MIA follows the upgrading of many GCC national airports to cater for the expected increase in passenger and freight volumes.

The works involve construction of the following buildings as follows:

ATC Tower – 39,934 sq ft and 98m high
Data Centre – 30,505 sq ft
Crash Fire Rescue – 59,202 sq ft
Air Traffic & Meteorology complex – 218,142 sq ft
Contingency &Training – 64,583 sq ft
Guard House ATM Complex – 183 sq ft
ATM Complex Utility Yard – 2,153 sq ft
C&T Centre Utility Yard – 1,938 sq ft
