Anti Slavery Policy
Consort is entirely opposed to any modern slavery or human trafficking and is dedicated to ensuring that the practice is reported and stopped if any such occurrences should ever come to our attention. Slavery is a crime and abhorrent abuse of the human rights of vulnerable workers. The crime can manifest itself in many ways and can take various forms such as slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking. Consort is deeply opposed to any manifestation of the above.
Consort has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and is committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all of our business dealings; and to implementing effective systems to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within either our business or any of our supply chains.
Consort accepts that we have a responsibility through our due diligence processes to ensure that workers are not being exploited, that they are safe, and that relevant employment, health and safety and human rights laws and standards are being adhered to, including freedom of movement and communications.
The Directors of Consort take responsibility for ensuring that all parts of Consort’s business comply with the company's legal and ethical obligations of modern slavery legislation. Every member of Consort’s organisation has a duty to make themselves aware of the modern slavery guidelines and legislation. It is the duty of all Consort’s personnel to educate themselves on modern slavery and people trafficking by available sources at www.modernslaveryhelpline.org and if they have any further questions, they should be able to approach Consort’s directors/ management.

Training on this policy and on the risk that the business faces from modern slavery in its supply chains, will be provided to staff as necessary to enable them to know how to identify exploitation and how to report suspected cases.

General Manager, AMBB Building Contracting
I have had the privilege to work closely with Consort over the past 4 years in Baku, Azerbaijan. From the initial brief / scope of works being discussed with their on-site sales manager, to the provision of schedule of materials and competitive quotations, all within a reactive timeframe, I have found the service from Consort, second to none.Furthermore, their management style and delivery can only be described as excellent and the after sales service only reinforces the commitment and willingness to go the “extra mile” to ensure that the customer is their direct focus.Products, availability and delivery are all part of the “we can do” attitude that is evidently proven, from ALL levels within the Consort Group. It is not often that I recommend/ praise companies for completed works, but in all the years that I have worked with Consort, I would have no hesitation in recommending them for future projects here in Azerbaijan, or anywhere else in the world.
